Greencastle, Ind. - The 16th-ranked Tigers began defense of its North Coast Athletic Conference championship at Blackstock Stadium this afternoon and came away with a 1-0 win over Kenyon.

Paige Henry's unassisted goal at 5:23 was the game's only goal in DePauw's home opener, but the Tigers outshot Kenyon 18-3 and held a 10-5 edge in corners.

Sydney Carney-Knisely recorded eight saves for the Ladies, while Maggie Steele picked up her first shutout for the Tigers.

DePauw improved to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the NCAC, while Kenyon dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Tigers host Denison at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
