Hanover, Ind. - Andy Morrison's goal in the 21st minute propelled the 21st-ranked Tigers to a 1-0 victory over Hanover Wednesday night. With the win DePauw improves to 6-0, their best start in school history.
After shots by George Elliott and Julian Gonzalez were unable to find the back of the net, the third time was the charm for the Tigers as Morrison knocked in the game-winning goal.
Strong play by goalie Jake Pezzuto and the Tiger defense shutout Hanover increasing DePauw's shutout streak to five games.
The Tigers outshot the Panthers 13-7 and held a 6-2 edge on corner kicks.
DePauw looks to keep their winning streak alive Saturday, September 14, when they take on Principia. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 pm at Boswell Field.
