Tigers Take Four Firsts and Break a School Record at Rose-Hulman

Terre Haute, Ind. - Paced by four first-place finishes including a school record, DePauw totaled 50.5 points and finished third at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird. Rose-Hulman won with 73.5 points and Franklin was second with 71.

Jillian Balser won the pole vault and set a school record in the process with a best effort of 3.10m/10-2. Also taking firsts were Ashley Guevara in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:23.29), Heather O'Brien in the 1,500 meters (4:53.63) and Katherine Kondry in the triple jump (10.42m/34-2.25).

Notching second-place performances were Katie Manalo in the shot put (10.47m/34-4.25), Chelsea Courtney in the triple jump (9.59m/31-5.75), Brittany Sievers in the discus throw (36.94m/121-2), Madeline O'Brien in the 400 meters (1:05.27) and Nicole Inman in the 800 meters 2:25.68).

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, April 6 at the Marv Frye Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan.
