Tigers Earn Honorable Mention in Three Events; More School Records Set

Shenandoah, Texas - Three honorable mention all-America performances highlighted DePauw's Thursday's NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. 

The 200-yard freestyle relay of Blake Lehmann, Alex Alfonso, Danny McGuiness and Jack Burgeson started the evening session with a 12th-place showing in 1:22.44 after posting a 1:22.64 in the prelims.

Casey Hooker broke his own school record in the 100 fly in 48.76 seconds for a 10th-place showing after going 49.07 in the prelims.

The Tigers' 400 medley relay of Alfonso, Matt Kukurugya, Hooker and Lehmann finished 10th in a school-record 3:20.17 after breaking the mark in the prelims in 3:20.17.

Other prelim performances included Lehmann finishing 23rd in the 100 fly in 49.56 and Alex Grissom in 29th in the 200 free in 1:40.50 with McGuiness 44th in the event in 1:42.82.
