Gambier, Ohio - Twelfth-ranked DePauw totaled 734.83 points and finished fourth at the Total Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon College. Penn won with 2,592 points followed by Kenyon with 2,326.83 and Johns Hopkins with 1,185.5.
Casey Hooker led the Tigers with a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly in 48.86 which was an NCAA "B" cut. His time of 48.75 in the prelims broke his own school record by .01 seconds.
Jack Burgeson placed ninth in the 100 freestyle in 46.07 after swimming a 45.97 in the prelims. Both times were were under the NCAA "B" cut.
The Tigers' 200 medley relay of Blake Lehmann, Joe Hessburg, Hooker and Burgeson placed fifth in an NCAA "B" cut time of 1:31.97, while the 400 free relay of Lehmann, Alex Alfonso, Hooker and Burgeson was third in 3:01.29.
DePauw returns to action January 10-11 at the Washington University Invitational.
