DePauw Runs Win Streak to 26 with Victory at Wittenberg

Greencastle, Ind.DePauw improved to 2-0 on the season and collected its 26th straight dual meet victory after topping Wittenberg, 187-99.

Jack Burgeson was a double-winner for the Tigers after taking first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.64) and the 100 free (48.65) as was Blake Lehmann in the 100 backstroke (54.53) and the 100 butterfly (52.03).

Six other Tigers picked up individual wins including Danny McGuinness in the 1000 free (10:26.65), Casey Hooker in the 200 butterfly (1:54.70), Chris Ercoli in the 50 free (22.67), Jimmy McDonnell in the 200 back (2:02.78), Stephen McMurtry in the 400 individual medley (4:23.60)  Matt Haeske in the 500 free (4:55.60).

The Tigers' 200 medley relay of George Morrison, Matt Gleason, Hooker and Burgeson opened the meet with a win in 1:37.26, while the 200 free relay of Burgeson, Ercoli, Haeske and Mike Curts touched first in the 200 free relay in 1:29.40.

DePauw returns to the pool on Wednesday, November 13, in a home meet with Wabash at 7 p.m.
