Crawfordsville, Ind. - Alex Grissom and Casey Hooker took individual wins and led DePauw to a third-place finish at the Patrick Woehnker Invitational. The Tigers finished with 630 points and were behind Olivet Nazarene's 701 and Indianapolis' 684.
Grissom won the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.46) and was fourth in the 500 free (4:49.92), while Hooker won the 100 butterfly (50.80) and was second in the 200 fly (1:55.23).
Alex Alfonso was second in the 200 individual medley (1:58.40), while Matt Haeske was third in the 200 free (1:47.19). Turning in fourth-place finishes were George Morrison in the 100 backstroke (54.21), Matt Gleason in the 200 individual medley (2:02.03) and Andrew Petersen in the 100 breaststroke (59.97).
Blake Lehmann was fifth in the 50 free (21.52) as was C.J. Copeland in one-meter diving with 176.75 points.
The Tigers' 200 medley relay of Lehmann, Joe Hessburg, Hooker and Jack Burgeson was second in 1:34.96.
DePauw returns to action, December 5-7, at the Total Performance Sports Camps Invitational at Kenyon College.
