Box Score

Box Score

Greencastle, Ind. – Two first-half goals were enough for the Tigers to defeat Greenville College Wednesday night at Boswell Field. With the 2-1 victory DePauw improved to 7-5 on the season, while the Panthers dropped to 2-9.

DePauw got off to a quick start scoring in the seventh minute when Elizabeth Seewer knocked in a pass from Emma Ueland. The Tigers struck again when Chloe Jacob scored on another pass from Ueland. Jacob's goal proved to be the game-winner.

Greenville came out fighting in the second-half cutting DePauw's lead in half when Kelsey Panzau drove home a pass from Maureen Murphy in the 56th minute. However, the Panthers were unable to find the back of the net for the remainder of the game ultimately falling to the Tigers.

The Tigers outshot Greenvile 12-2 and held a 3-1 edge on corner kicks. Sarah Cho got her first start in goal and recorded her first collegiate win.

DePauw returns to action Saturday, October 12, when they take on Ohio Wesleyan at Boswell Field. This North Coast Athletic Conference matchup is scheduled for a 4:30 pm start.
