Greencastle, Ind.- On a night where the DePauw senior class was poised to break a school record for wins during their career it was the Wabash Little Giants who looked to spoil the fun.

Wabash entered the night having nothing to play for but pride. The Tigers, on the other hand, were playing for a shot at making the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament. Although the game was played at Boswell Field the Little Giants were well represented by an energetic crowd that dwarfed that of the Tigers.

Behind their fan support Wabash took an early lead when Steve Magura headed in a crossing pass from Ivaylo Mantchev in the 23rd minute. The Little Giants took the lead and the momentum into halftime and were poised to pull an upset.

After a first half that was largely controlled by the Little Giants, DePauw entered the second half with a more focused approach and quickly tied the contest when Julian Gonzalez scored on an unassisted goal just four minutes into the period.

With 58:11 on the clock Alieu Musa scored on a pass from Jon Krok. Musa's header gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead and it appeared that DePauw had regained control of the match. However, the Little Giants' persistence resulted in them tying the game at 2-2 when Zach Woloshin flicked in a goal in the 81st minute.

Andy Morrison put the Tigers up for good just 30 seconds later when he scored on a double assist from Gonzalez and Krok. Morrison's goal would prove to be the game winner. Gonzalez provided an insurance goal when he added his second tally of the game scoring with 84:57 on the clock.

With the victory DePauw improved to 14-2-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the NCAC, while the Little Giants dropped to 3-11-2 overall and 1-6-1 in NCAC play.

The Tigers outshot Wabash 6-5, but the Little Giants held a 4-1 edge on corner kicks. A physical contest, featured 36 total fouls (18-18) and six yellow cards, four on Wabash and two on DePauw.

DePauw closes out regular season play Saturday, November 2, when they travel to Granville, Ohio to take on Denison. This NCAC contest is scheduled for a 3 p.m. kickoff.

Before the game the Tigers honored their senior class. The group of nine seniors set a school record for wins throughout their four-year career with 58 victories. Additionally, with the win, DePauw has clinched a berth into the NCAC postseason tournament and will look to pull off a three-peat as NCAC tournament champions.
