Greencastle, Ind.- The 11th-ranked Tigers struggled to find any offensive rhythm and ultimately were upset by visiting Oberlin College by a score of 1-0.
With the loss DePauw dropped to 12-2-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while the Yeomen improved to 12-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 in NCAC play.
In a game that had little offensive opportunities it was Oberlin who capitalized and tallied the contest's only goal. With 42:32 on the clock freshman Dan Lev flew in and connected on a crossing pass from Adam Chazin-Gray putting the Yeoman up 1-0. Lev's header proved to be the game-winner.
The Tigers outshot Oberlin 5-3 and held an 8-4 edge on corner kicks. There were four yellow cards issued in the high-energy contest, one on DePauw and three on the Yeomen.
DePauw is back in action Saturday, October 26, when they take on Allegheny. This NCAC contest is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
