Box Score Hiram, Ohio - In a tight battle, DePauw suffered its first loss of the season following a 3-2 North Coast Athletic Conference defeat at Hiram.
The Tigers dropped to 5-1-2 overall and 1-1 in the NCAC, while the Terriers improved to 8-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Hiram took a 1-0 lead at the 21:02 mark as Ryan Minick scored on Andy Harding's assist. Nate Snyder tied the contest at 33:02 before Andy Morrison gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead at 38:37.
The Terriers knotted the contest at 2-2 with just 2:43 left in the half as Brian Zilla scored with help from Andres Ruiz. Ruiz delivered the game winner at 57:49 on Minick's assist.
Hiram held a 12-10 advantage in shots and a 7-6 edge in shots on goal. The Terriers led in corners, 7-2.
Tony Halterman totaled four saves for DePauw, while Jeff Rottingers had four for Hiram.
DePauw hosts Anderson on Wednesday, September 26, at 7 p.m.
