Box Score Bloomington, Ill. - Adrian scored three times in the opening 15 minutes on the way to a 3-1 win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 0-2 on the season, while the Bulldogs improved to 1-0.
Sam Barker put Adrian ahead just 3:23 into the contest on Patti Vaasen's assist before Erin Weide made it 2-0 at 8:17 with an unassisted score. Barker's second goal on Vaasen's second assist at 14:11 pushed the Bulldogs' lead to 3-0.
DePauw's lone score came at 21:06 when Sophia Da Silveira scored, unassisted, at 21:06.
Adrian held a 12-11 edge in shots including a 6-5 margin in shots on goal. The Bulldogs also held a slight advantage in corners, 3-2.
Caroline Kerr started in goal for the Tigers with Emma Cooper coming on to record three saves in the final 71-plus minutes. Chayna Wallace finished with four saves for Adrian.
DePauw travels to Kalamazoo on Friday for a 7 p.m. contest.
