Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw junior Emily Bichler tossed a no-hitter in the season opener and the Tigers outhit Westminster 19-2 to collect a doubleheader sweep over Westminster (Mo.) by scores of 10-0 in five innings and 10-1 in six innings.

Bichler struck out nine and walked just one in the opener and received plenty of offensive support as the Tigers totaled nine hits and belted three homers.

Jen Kosinski got things started in the first with a two-run homer to left center before Jamie Story also hit a two-run shot to left center in the second. Rachel MacBeth came home in the second when Haley Buchanan reached on a fielder's choice and Cymone Allen scored on a wild pitch.

The Tigers added four more in the fourth as Story led off with a walk and moved to third on MacBeth's bunt single. Story came home on a wild pitch and MacBeth made it to third before Allen walked. MacBeth then scored when Allen stole second and Allen made it to third on the play after a Blue Jays error. Kosinski's sacrifice fly scored Allen and Amy Hallett capped off the scoring with a two-run homer to left.

MacBeth and Allen each had two hits for DePauw, while Kosinski drove in three and Allen scored three. Bichler picked up the complete game victory as only two Westminster batters reached base. Sarah Schneider dropped to 2-1 for the Blue Jays.

Westminster took a quick 1-0 lead in game two as Brittany Lee homered to left center. DePauw answered with one in the second as Hallett tripled and scored on Emily Dieckmann's single.

The Tigers added four more in the third as Kosinski and pinch-runner Jennifer Ridge scored on wild pitches before Holly Paris drove in Hallett with a single and later scored on Kate Hendrickson's double.

DePauw wrapped up the game in the sixth as MacBeth led off by reaching on an error and scored on Kosinski's double. Buchanan walked and Hallett reached on an error which allowed Kosinski to score. Paris then ended the game with a three-run homer to center.

Dieckmann (1-0) picked up the win in her first collegiate start in the circle and retired the final 11 batters she faced. Kahla Nolan pitched two innings of scoreless relief in her first game. Lee suffered the loss for the Blue Jays and dropped to 2-1.

Kosinski collected three of DePauw's 10 hits, while Paris added two and drove in four. Lori Jones and Lee each had one hit for Westminster.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, March 17, when they host Webster in a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
