DePauw Dominates Ohio Wesleyan; Wins 10th Straight

Box Score

Delaware, Ohio - Caroline Torie and Maggie Campbell each rattled the cage for the Tigers en route to a 2-0 victory over North Coast Athletic Conference rival Ohio Wesleyan at Selby Stadium. DePauw improved their record to 11-1 overall and 9-0 in conference play while the Battling Bishops fell to 6-5 and 5-4 in the NCAC.

The first 52 minutes were played without either team scoring a goal. In the 53rd minute the Tigers finally lit the lamp after Torie corralled the ball after several deflections and stuffed it into the goal putting the Tigers up, 1-0.

Just minutes later as Campbell received a Paige Henry pass by the right post and fired a backhander through the posts to put DePauw up 2-0.

The Tigers' Maggie Steele recorded their eighth shutout of the season, all in NCAC play, while the Battling Bishops goaltender, Karson Stevenson posted three saves on five shots faced.

Although DePauw outshot Ohio Wesleyan 23-1, only five shots were on goal, all from the Tigers.

The Tigers travel to Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Ky. to face Transylvania on Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in a non-conference clash.
