Box Score September 24, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw moved to 2-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play with a 2-1 victory over the Hiram Terriers at Boswell Field. Freshman Andy Morrison scored both goals for the Tigers, giving him seven for the season.
Morrison scored his first goal of the game at 36:06 when he slotted home his shot after a long pass from Louie Souza.
Morrison added to his total with a goal in the second half at 67:35, assisted by Sam Meyer.
Hiram cut into the Tiger lead after Ryan Minick scored at 85:53, but the Tigers were able to hold on to the lead in the final minutes and hand the Terriers their first loss of the season.
The Tigers move to 7-1 on the season, and 2-0 in the NCAC, while Hiram falls to 4-1-1 overall and 0-1 in NCAC play. The Tigers were outshot 10-8, but held a 5-4 edge on corner kicks. Goalkeeper Nathan Sprenkel made three saves for the Tigers, while Joe Rottinger had two for Hiram College. The Terriers committed 15 fouls compared to the Tigers' 11.
The Tigers return to action Tuesday, September 27, when they travel to Anderson University to take on the Ravens at 4:30 p.m.
