September 1, 2011, Oakland City, Ind. — DePauw opened the 2011 volleyball season with a 3-0 win at Division II Oakland City as the Tigers took a 28-26, 25-18, 25-14 victory over the Lady Oaks.

Katie Petrovich paced the Tigers with nine kills, while Brianna Holder led the way with 32 assists. Lylee Lehrman, Holder and Tori Bowerman each had two service aces, while Bowerman led the way with 11 digs. Hannah Nelson recorded a team-high five blocks in the win.

The Tigers travel to Washington University on Saturday and Sunday for the Bears Classic. The Tigers face Texas-Dallas and the third-ranked hosts on Saturday.
