September 2, 2011, Angola, Ind. — Second-ranked DePauw shot an opening-round 327 and trails Washington-St. Louis by 14 strokes at the NCAA Preview Tournament at the Zollner Golf Course. Olivet is third with a 328 and Wittenberg is fourth with a 336.

DePauw's Kelly Gaughan shot a 78 and is tied for fourth, while Paige Gooch finished at 80 and tied for sixth. Taylor Beaty finished the round with an 82 followed by Camila Romero with an 87 and Kelsey Smith at 88. Playing as an individual, Abby Dickey shot an 82. Olivet's Lauren Campbell leads the way with a 74.

Second and final round play takes place on Saturday.
