September 18, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw improved to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference following a 7-0 win over visiting Ohio Wesleyan. The Battling Bishops dropped to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the NCAC.
Margaret Ellis (pictured) scored the first of her three goals just 2:01 into the contest before Bridgette Shamleffer scored on Ellis' assist at 18:30. Ellis made it 3-0 at 27:15 on Caroline Torie's assist. Grace Fisher scored on a double assist from Shamleffer and Torie at 30:20 before Paige Henry rounded out the first half scoring on Shamleffer's assist at 32:42.
Kimberly Trainor made it 6-0 at 41:53 on Shamleffer's third assist and Ellis notched her third goal at 53:54 on Luisa Myavec's assist.
DePauw outshot the Battling Bishops 24-2 and held an 11-6 edge in penalty corners. Maggie Steele recorded the shutout in goal for the Tiges and Emily Temple totaled eight for Ohio Wesleyan.
DePauw returns to action on September 24 at Oberlin.
