September 16, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw improved to 8-3 on the season after winning its first two matches at its own invitational. The Tigers opened with a 3-2 (25-18, 14-25, 25-16, 17-25, 15-7) win over Baldwin-Wallace before defeating Rose-Hulman 3-1 (25-21, 10-25, 25-23, 25-17).

In the win over Baldwin-Wallace, Abby Balbach led with 17 kills, while Brianna Holder had 40 assists. Alex Messner and Kylee Lehrman each totaled three aces with Tori Bowerman finishing with 19 digs.

Balbach and Katie Petrovich each had 13 kills against Rose-Hulman with Holder totaling 38 assists. Lehrmann finished with a team-high 21 digs and Paige Thompson had six assists.

DePauw faces Birmingham-Southern on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Millikin at 2 p.m.
