Box Score September 11, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — In a game which saw all the scoring occur in the first half, DePauw took a 3-2 win over visiting Rose-Hulman and improved to 4-1 with its third straight win. Rose-Hulman dropped to 2-3 with the loss.
Andy Morrison put the Tigers on the board with an assist from Sam Meyer at 18:45, but the Engineers struck back just 56 seconds later as Clint Vatterrodt scored, unassisted.
Nate Snyder's header from Morrison at 33:31 gave DePauw a 2-1 advantage before Brandon Johnson made it 3-1 at 35:31 on an assist from George Elliott. The Engineers scored at 43:03 when Ryan Rieboldt nailed a free kick off the right post.
Each team had 11 shots and four corners. DePauw's Nathan Sprenkel had one assist, while Eric Davenport had two in the first half for the Engineers.
The Tigers open North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday, September 17, when they travel to Denison for a 3 p.m. contest.
