Box Score October 29, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw scored three first-half goals and it held up in a 3-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win over visiting Oberlin at Boswell Field.
The Tigers improved to 6-10-1 overall and 4-3-1 in NCAC play, while the Yeowomen dropped to 5-12-2 overall and 1-6-1 in the NCAC.
Dana Sprague delivered the Tigers' first goal at 19:10 before Alex Ehr made it 2-0 with an assist from Sprague at 28:40. Holly Tipp rounded out the scoring at 38:08 with an unassisted score.
DePauw held an 11-9 edge in shots and a 4-2 advantage in corners. DePauw's Caroline Kerr recorded one save in nearly 68 minutes, while Emma Cooper played in goal over the final 22 minutes of the Tigers' fourth shutout of the season. Kate Frost totaled five saves for Oberlin.
The Tigers finished in a three-way tie for fourth in the NCAC standings but after tiebreakers were applied, they did not qualify for the final spot in next week's conference tournament.
