Box Score October 29, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw, ranked 17th by D3soccer.com and 22nd in the latest coaches' poll, improved to 14-2-1 overall and finished North Coast Athletic Conference regular season play at 8-1 following a 2-1 win over visiting Oberlin. The Yeomen dropped to 6-12 overall and 3-6 in NCAC play.
DePauw reached the board first as Sam Meyer scored on Andy Morrison's assist at 13:16. Shelton Graves then delivered the eventual game-winner on George Elliott's assist at 60:05.
The Yeomen cut the lead in half at 80:43 when Joe Graybeal scored, unassisted.
DePauw held a narrow, 12-11 advantage in shots and a 5-4 margin in corners. DePauw's Nathan Sprenkel had four saves in the win, while Brandt Rentel totaled five for Oberlin.
The Tigers hosts Hiram at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, in the semifinals of the NCAC Tournament.
