Box Score September 26, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw, ranked 25th in Division III, outlasted visiting Sewanee, 1-0, in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest Sunday afternoon at Boswell Field.
With the win, DePauw moved to 8-1 on the season and 2-0 in SCAC play. The loss dropped Sewanee to 2-5-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the SCAC.
Andrew Desmarais tallied the lone goal of the game, a header he sent into the net on a double assist from Louie Souza and Danny Witzerman.
DePauw held a 15-3 advantage in shots, putting six shots on goal in the contest. Both DePauw and Sewanee recorded six corner kicks each.
Nate Sprenkel made two saves in goal for DePauw, while Sewanee's Freddie Delchamps notched five saves.
DePauw returns to action on Friday, October 1, when it travels to Birmingham-Southern for an 8 p.m. CDT contest.
