September 24, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  Ryan Keefe scored off of a free kick in the 81st minute to lead DePauw to a 1-0 victory over Oglethorpe Friday evening in both teams' Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener at Boswell Field.

The win moved the Tigers to 7-1 and 1-0 in SCAC play, while Oglethorpe fell to 4-1-1 and 0-1 in the SCAC.

DePauw earned a free kick in the 81st minute after an Oglethorpe player was sent off with a red card. Keefe found the back of the net for his seventh goal of the season.

Oglethorpe outshot the Tigers, 11-7, and held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Goalkeeper Nate Sprenkel made seven saves for DePauw.

The Tigers host Sewanee on Sunday, September 26 at 2 p.m.
