Box Score September 15, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Ryan Keefe scored just minutes into the second period to propel 10th-ranked DePauw to a 1-0 victory over Wabash College Wednesday evening at Boswell Field. The Tigers recorded their fifth consecutive shutout of the season, improving to 5-0, while Wabash fell to 4-2.
Keefe recorded his team-high fifth goal of the season on a strike at the 47:47 mark, on an assist by Dean Weaver.
Wabash held an 11-6 advantage in shots, while DePauw had the edge in corners, 4-2. Goalkeeper Nate Sprenkel tallied eight saves for the Tigers, while Wabash's Ian MacDougall had two saves in goal.
The 5-0 start is DePauw's best since 1997 and marks the first time since the 1980 season that the team has started off the year with five shutouts.
The Tigers host 21st-ranked Ohio Wesleyan on Friday, September 17, at 3 p.m.
