Second-Half Goal Gives Tigers Fifth Straight Shutout Win

Box Score

September 12, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  Margaret Ellis' unassisted goal midway through the second half was all DePauw would need in a 1-0 win over the College of Wooster on Boswell Field.

DePauw improved to 5-0 for the first time since 1999. It also marks the first time a DePauw field hockey team has opened a season with five consecutive shutouts. Wooster dropped to 2-3.

Ellis' score came with 15:24 left in the game and was one of eight DePauw shots on the afternoon. Wooster finished with two shots and the Tigers held a 9-5 edge in penalty corners.

Liz Attewell recorded one save for DePauw and Wooster's Liz Plumley had one for the Fighting Scots.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, September 18, when it opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play at Sewanee.
