Lauer Earns All-America Honors with Sixth-Place Heptathlon Finish

May 28, 2010, Berea, Ohio — DePauw junior Courtney Lauer earned all-America honors at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, with a sixth-place finish in the heptathlon. Complete details are available through the official site.

Lauer totaled a school-record 4,581 points in the event. On Thursday, she was seventh in the shot put, ninth in the high jump, 11th in the 200 meters and 16th in the 100 hurdles. She followed that up with an eighth-place showing in the javelin and second in the 800 meters on Friday

Seniors Lauren Reich and Nicole Stein compete on Saturday as Reich is in the 1,500 and 5,000-meter runs and Stein runs in the 400-meter hurdles.
