Box Score 2 April 3, 2010, Sewanee, Tenn. — DePauw improved to 18-3 overall and 7-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference after sweeping Sewanee by scores of 11-0 and 27-0. Sewanee dropped to 0-13 overall and 0-12 in SCAC play.
In the opener the Tigers scored six in the first, one in the fourth and four in the fifth. DePauw banged out 15 hits as 11 different players had at least one. Jen Kosinski, Amy Hallett, Haley Buchanan and Cymone Allen each had two, while Gwen Anderson drove in three with a three-run homer.
DePauw pitcher Kristin Barrow improved to 3-1 with her second one-hit shutout of the weekend. Alex Ginsburg had Sewanee's lone hit, while Carly Whitfield dropped to 0-12 with the loss.
In the nightcap, the Tigers set school records with 27 runs and 30 hits as all 14 players who batted had at least one hit and one RBI and 11 had at lease two hits. DePauw scored 14 in the first and 13 in the second in the win.
Kosinski had four hits, while Kate Hendrickson and Anderson each had three Hallett drove in four including three on a homer.
Emily Bichler improved to 2-0 with the shutout win, while Warfield dropped to 0-13.
DePauw hosts Manchester in a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader on Thursday, April 8.
