Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

April 18, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  The 11th-ranked Tigers extended their win streak to 16 and capped off a series sweep of visiting Centre after winning both ends of a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader with the Colonels.

DePauw blanked Centre by a 3-0 score in the opener and then won, 10-2, in the nightcap. The Tigers improved to 28-3 overall and 15-1 in the SCAC, while Centre dropped to 16-24 and 5-11 in conference play.

Megan Soultz notched here sixth shutout of the season in the first game and the 44th of her career as she limited Centre to just four hits.

The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the third as Jen Kosinski singled with two outs and scored on Emma Minx's double. Amy Hallett led off the fourth with a solo homer to left center and Minx drove home Kosinski with a single in the fifth.

Kosinski and Minx each had two of DePauw's six hits, while four different Colonels had one hit apiece.

Soultz improved to 19-2 with the win, while Emily Meador dropped to 5-12.

Centre took a 1-0 lead in the second inning of the second game as Chelsea Benham led off with a double, moved to third on Chelsea Collard's sacrifice bunt and scored on Cailynn West's sacrifice fly.

The Tigers countered with three in the third as Holly Paris singled with the bases loaded and an error on the play allowed all three runs to score. Cymone Allen scored from third on a wild pitch in the fourth after leading off the frame with a double. Brianne Weeks added the second run after scoring on Kosinski's ground out.

The Colonels' Elizabeth Fenwick singled home Taylor Childress in the fifth to trim DePauw's lead to 5-2, but two Centre players were thrown out on the play ending the threat.

DePauw added an unearned run in the fifth and then ended the game in the sixth as it strung together five straight hits including three doubles.

MacBeth and Paris each had three of DePauw's 11 hits, while Hallett added two. Paris drove in four in the win. Centre again totaled four hits with four different players collecting one each.

Kristin Barrow improved to 7-1 with the win, while Charlotte Jones dropped to 4-8.
