Box Score October 15, 2010, Sherman, Texas — Trailing 2-1 early in the second half, 14th-ranked DePauw scored twice in a two-minute stretch in the second half and claimed a 3-2 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win at Austin. The Tigers improved to 12-1-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the SCAC, while Austin dropped to 4-6-3 overall and 1-4-2 in conference play.
Ben Hazen gave DePauw a 1-0 lead just five minutes into the contest on an assist from Kreigh Kamman before Austin's Chris Melton knotted the score at 1-1 on an assist from Jason Campbell at 28:15.
The Kangaroos took the 2-1 lead at 49:51 as Joey Alcocer scored an unassisted goal. Gary Pett's goal at 70:04 with an assist from Danny Witzerman and Ryan Keefe tied the game at 2-2 before Matt Schoenfeld delivered the game winner at 71:59 on Meyer's assist.
DePauw held a 17-15 advantage in shots and a 5-4 margin in corners. DePauw's Nate Sprenkel recorded three saves, while Grant Gosselin had one for Austin.
The Tigers travel to Colorado College for a 2 p.m. MDT game on Sunday.
