September 26, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw dropped to 12-4 overall and 0-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference following a pair of losses to nationally-ranked teams at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference East/West Divisional.
Colorado College, ranked 13th in Division III, topped DePauw in four sets 25-21, 26-28, 25-18, 25-19 before 18th-ranked Southwestern also handed the Tigers a four-set defeat by scores of 18-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-15.
Against Colorado College, Katey Larson led the Tigers with 11 kills, while Ali Smith totaled 34 assists. Madison Hoenig had team highs of five service aces and 27 digs and Kristen Chynoweth led with six blocks.
Larson led the Tigers with 10 kills against Southwestern with Smith leading the way with 43 assists. Hoenig had a team-best 31 digs with Chynoweth and Smith each totaling two digs.

The divisional wraps up on Sunday with the first matches scheduled for 9 a.m. DePauw takes on 11th-ranked Trinity at 11 a.m. and Centre at 3 p.m.
