Late Goal Gives Tigers Win at Ohio Wesleyan

The Tigers improved to 1-4-2 with the win, while Ohio Wesleyan dropped to 4-2-2.

Emelie Johansson gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead at 14:11 on a header from Julia Drummond's corner kick. Carly Topper tied the game at 1-1 with an unassisted goal.

Lauren Palfrey and Caroline Kerr split time in goal with Palfrey recording six saves in the first half and Kerr totaling two in the second half. Margaret Klepetko had four saves for the Battling Bishops.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot DePauw, 21-10, and held a 16-3 edge in corners.

The Tigers open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday, September 25, when they travel to Sewanee for a 7 p.m. CDT contest.
