September 19, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw blanked Capital to finish pool play with a 3-0 mark, but lost to Heidelberg in the DePauw Invitational title match. The Tigers are now 12-2 on the season.

In the 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-19) win over Capital, Kristen Chynoweth totaled 15 kills with Ali Smith leading with 34 assists. Kylee Lehrman led with six aces, while Kate Carrico had 18 digs.

Heidelberg topped the Tigers 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-20) as Katey Larson and Chynoweth each had nine kills and Ali Smith posted 26 assists. Madison Hoenig led with 14 digs and Larson totaled two blocks.

Lehrman and Smith earned spots on the all-tournament team. The team included:
