Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

March 15, 2009, Salisbury, Md. —  Seventh-ranked DePauw wrapped up weekend play with a Sunday split as it lost to Salisbury, 6-1, and defeated Plattsburgh State by a 9-1 score in six innings. The Tigers are 6-2 on the season, while Salisbury improved to 8-4 and Plattsburgh dropped to 3-8.

In the first game, Salisbury took a 2-0 lead in the second with a pair of unearned runs before the Tigers cut the lead in half on Brianne Weeks' infield single which scored Kaitlyn Davitt.

The Sea Gulls scored one in the fourth when Jen Cahall tripled and scored on Meaghan O'Gara's single. Cahall then drove in Lauren Brenneman and Kelsey Mills in the fifth with a bases loaded single to make it 5-1. Salisbury's final run came in the sixth when Kelly Waskewicz led off with a double and scored on Stacey Malarkey's single.

DePauw totaled just two hits as Weeks and Jennifer Kosinski each singled. The Sea Gulls finished with eight hits led by Cahall with three and Waskewicz with two, while Cahall drove in three in the win. Megan Soultz dropped to 5-2 with the loss and Stacy Davis improved to 4-2.

The Tigers erupted for seven runs in the second against Plattsburgh on the way to the win. Ashlee Anton and Kelly Schwerzler each hit one-out doubles before Carolyn Bartlett and Rachel MacBeth reached base on infield errors to load the bases.

Chelsy Patterson and Weeks hit run-scoring singles before Emma Minx knocked in a pair with a single to center. Rachel Gill drew a walk to load the bases, Kosinski followed with a single and Anton walked to cap the scoring in the frame.

The Cardinals scored their lone run in the third on Amy Woo's single which plated Erin Jamieson. Weeks drove in Schwerzler in the fifth with a fielder's choice, while pinch-hitter Holly Paris ended the game in the sixth with a bases-loaded single down the left field line.

Mink led the Tigers with two of their nine hits and, along with Weeks, drove in two runs. Five different Cardinals collected one hit apiece.
