November 7, 2009, Springfield, Ohio — DePauw finished first and second in the 200-yard freestyle relay which pushed them past home Wittenberg by a 151-149 score. The Tigers are now 1-1 on the season.
The Tigers opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay as Johnny Montgomery, Matt Kukurugya, Josh Baugh and John Cook took first in 1:39.73.
Kukurugya won the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.17 and the 200 breast in 2:15.84. John Cook was also a double-winner in the 50 freestyle in 21.57 seconds and the 100 free in 47.50. Baugh won the 100 butterfly in 54.14 and the 200 individual medley in 2:01.22. Charlie Boehme took the 200 back in 2:03.49.
DePauw's "B"200 free relay of Kyle Kerrigan, Brendan Flores, Tom Rich and Cook won in 1:28.68, while the "A" relay of Montgomery, Boehmem, Andrew Nash and Steve Klabak were second in 1:28.83.
The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, November 11, when it hosts Wabash at 7 p.m.
