September 19, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 10-3 on the season after opening DePauw invitational play with wins over Anderson and St. Mary's. The Tigers topped Anderson 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-16) before defeating St. Mary's 3-1 (27-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21).

In the Anderson match, Adrienne Cobb and Katey Larson each totaled nine kills, while Larson and Kristen Chynoweth each finished with six blocks. Ali Smith led with 30 assists and Emily Smith paced the squad with 18 digs. Loren Sloan totaled three aces in the win.

Emily Smith led DePauw with 33 digs against St. Mary's, while Cobb paced the team with 18 kills and Larson finished with 14. Erin Cunningham totaled five blocks and Ali Smith led with 57 assists.

The Tigers conclude pool play on Saturday when they face North Central at Noon.
