September 19, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - Adam Davis delivered a penalty kick with 5:45 left in the second overtime and lifted the Tigers to a 1-0 win over visiting Sewanee in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

The Tigers improved to 3-1-2 overall and 1-0 in the SCAC, while Sewanee dropped to 3-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

DePauw outshot Sewanee 11-6, while Sewanee held a 7-6 edge in corners. DePauw's Ted Jacobi recorded five saves in the shutout, while Matt Hale saved 10 shots in defeat.

The Tigers host Ogletehorpe on Sunday at noon.
