DePauw outshot Wabash 10-9 and held a 5-4 edge in corners. Ted Jacobi recorded nine saves for the Tigers, while Patrick West had 10 for the Little Giants.
The Tigers entered the first-ever night contest in the series with eight straight wins over Wabash and a 32-13 series lead. Tonight's game was just the fourth between the two schools to go to overtime and the first which ended in a tie.
DePauw opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday, September 19, when it hosts Sewanee at 6 p.m.
