April 5, 2008, Danville, Ky. - The third-ranked Tigers improved to 27-1 on the season and extended their school-record win streak to 27 straight with a doubleheader sweep at Centre by scores of 6-2 and 10-1. 

DePauw improved to 2-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, while the Colonels dropped to 12-14 overall and 0-6 in the SCAC.

DePauw totaled 10 hits in the opener with Brianne Weeks, Kelly Schwerzler and Carolyn Bartlett each totaling two. Emma Minx drove in three with a second-inning homer.

Three Centre players had one hit apiece as DePauw starter Megan Soultz improved to 23-1 by allowing just a first-inning unearned run in six innings of work. Tyler Travis suffered the defeat.

Soultz allowed just two hits in the five-inning win in the nightcap and improved to 24-1, while Charlotte Jones took the loss.

Ashlee Anton led the Tigers with three of their 13 hits including a double and two-run homer and four RBI. Kaitlyn Davitt, Schwerzler, Bartlett and Lauren Rees each had two hits in the win.

The two teams wrap up their SCAC doubleheader on Sunday at noon.
