Tigers off to another Fast Start in Day Two

March 14, 2008, Oxford, Ohio - The 15th-ranked Tigers are off to another quick start on day two of the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming Championships with a relay and two individuals qualifying for tonight's finals.

The 200-yard medley relay of Katie Doogan, Maddison Hamil, Amanda Stier, Katie Massey finished third in the prelims in a school-record 1:46.75 which was 2.64 seconds faster than their seed time.

Doogan earned a spot in tonight's consolation finals after finishing ninth in the 400 individual medley in 4:31.96. Amanda Stier also earned a spot in the consolation finals with a 10th-place finish in the 100 butterfly prelims in a school-record 57.18 seconds. Callie Boehme finished 12th in the 400 IM in 4:34.11 and will also swim in tonight's consolation finals.

DePauw was in eighth place after Thursday's record-setting finals. Friday's finals take place this evening and the meet concludes on Saturday.
