Five Swimmers Begin National Championship Competition Today

March 13, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - The 15th-ranked Tigers will be well represented at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships as five student-athletes have earned qualfication and begin competition today.

Seniors Katie Doogan and Maddison Hamil as well as juior Amanda Stier and freshmen Callie Boehme and Katie Massey lead the Tigers into the three-day meet at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

The Tigers' 200-yard freestyle relay of Doogan, Massey, Stier and Hamil enters with the ninth-fastest time, while Amanda Stier is seeded sixth in the 200 butterfly. Doogan is seeded 13th in the 400 individual medley as is Stier in the 100 butterfly.
