15th-ranked DePauw Finishes Second at SCAC Championships; Doogan Repeats as Swimmer of the Year

February 16, 2008, Dallas, Texas - DePauw totaled 750.5 points and finished second to Trinity's 910 at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. Centre was third with 676.5 points.

Katie Doogan was named the SCAC Swimmer of the Year for the second straight year after leading the 15th-ranked Tigers with three individual wins. During tonight's finals, Doogan won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:08.89.

Callie Boehme won the 1650 freestyle in an SCAC and DePauw record time of 17:37.28. Amanda Stier won the 200 butterfly in a conference and school record 2:06.83.

Maddison Hamil earned all-SCAC honors with a second-place showing in the 100 free in 53.31 seconds.

The 400 free relay of Doogan, Elizabeth Medlock, Stier and Hamil set a school record and won in 3:34.60.
