November 8, 2008, Memphis, Tenn. - DePauw finished second at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship after dropping a three-set match to 12th-ranked Trinity in the title match. DePauw finished the regular season at 25-14, while Trinity improved to 30-9.

Trinity won the match by scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-21. Erin Cunningham led the Tigers with eight kills, while Ali Smith had 24 assists and Kate Carrico finished with 14 digs. Cobb added two blocks.
