October 10, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw scored a pair of first-half goals and defeated Hendrix, 2-1, in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference game at Boswell Field.
DePauw improved to 4-5-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference, while Hendrix slipped to 4-6 overall and 1-5 in SCAC play.
Katy Phillips put the Tigers on the board first at 10:53 with an assist from Lauren Hannan before Bridget Coleman scored, unassisted, later in the half to give DePauw at 2-0 halftime advantage.
Hendrix's Michelle Story cut the lead in half at 58:02 with an assist from Kate Burnett, but the Tigers were able to hold on for the win.
DePauw outshot Hendrix, 15-8, while Hendrix held a 4-3 edge in corners. Lauren Palgrey and Christy Fillenwarth split time in goal for the Tigers, while allison Mosley recorded three saves for the Warriors and Leslie Levin had one as each played one half also.
The Tigers return to action on Sunday, October 12, when they host Rhodes at 2 p.m.
