September 8, 2007, Springfield, Ohio - The 16th-ranked women dropped to 1-3 on the season following a 3-0 loss at Wittenberg. The hosts improved to 3-1.

The teams battled through a scoreless contest until Wittenberg's Sydney Bates knocked in the eventual game winner on an assist from Stephanie Sharp at 57:15. Emily Murray scored, unassisted, at 64:00 and Sara Pirozzi followed with the game's ginal goal at 83:32 on Tara Osborne's assist.

Wittenberg outshot DePauw 12-1 and held a 2-1 advantage in corners. Meghan O'Rourke and Jordan Bamberger were in goal for Wittenberg's shutout, while DePauw's Brooke Shipley recorded six saves.

DePauw travels to Earlham on Sunday.
