September 21, 2007, Memphis, Tenn. - The Tigers scored three times in the first half on the way to a 4-1 win at Rhodes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener for both schools. DePauw improved to 4-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while Rhodes dropped to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the SCAC.
Mike Harris got the scoring underway for the Tigers at 5:33 before Scott Noel made it 2-0 at 14:34. Kaes Kamman scored with 3:55 left in the half to push the lead to 3-0, but Rhodes' Michael Hadler scored 20 seconds later to round out the first half scoring. DePauw's Jeremy Rielley added a penalty kick in the second half.
Both teams totaled 11 shots, while DePauw held a 3-2 edge in corner kicks. John Fenley recorded five saves for DePauw while Alex Mathis had three in the first half for Rhodes.
DePauw travels to Hendrix on Sunday.
