Box Score 2 March 29, 2007, Fort Myers, Fla. - DePauw improved to 18-0 on the season after picking up a 9-0 win over SUNY-Potsdam and a 16-1 victory over MIT. The Tigers needed just five innings to wrap up each game.
Megan Soultz pitched a no-hitter in the Potsdam game and improved to 8-0 as she struck out seven in five innings without allowing a walk. Rachel Gill collected three of DePauw's 12 hits, while Chelsy Patterson, Jessica Krueger and Laura Schlensker each added two. Megan Strough suffered the loss for the Bears.
The Tigers pounded out 16 hits in their win over MIT, while Katherine Veatch and Kristin Barrow limited the Engineers to just three hits. Veatch improved to 4-0 with the win.
Patterson and Gill each had three hits, while Kristy Mahon, Carolyn Bartlett, Jessica Bowlds and Kimberly Heiniger each had two. Pattersobn drove in four in the victory.
The Tigers wrap up their Florida games on Friday against Middlebury and Wisconsin-Whitewater.
