Tigers improve to 12-0 with wins in first two Florida games

March 25, 2007, Fort Myers, Fla. - DePauw continued its best start in program history as it improved to 12-0 with wins over Buffalo State and Oberlin. The Tigers defeated Buffalo State by a 6-1 score and Oberlin, 8-0.

Megan Soultz struck out 13 and walked just one in improving to 4-0 with the win over Buffalo State, while Nicole Sabuda suffered the loss.

Rachel Gill's first-inning groundout scored Chelsy Patterson before Kristy Mahon's second-inning triple scored Laura Schlensker. Chelsy Patterson drove in Mahon with a single and Gill delivered a bases loaded triple to make it 5-0. Buffalo State scored its only run in the third.

In the Oberlin game, Lauren Curosh retired all 15 batters she faced and improved to 5-0 with the win. The Tigers allowed the Yeowomen just one hit in the six-inning game. Michelle Zanni suffered the loss.

The Tigers totaled 10 hits with Lauren Rees and Gill each finishing with two and Mahon hit the game's only home run.
