Tigers Drop to 4-2 after Loss at Wabash

December 6, 2007, Crawfordsville, Ind. - The Tigers dropped to 4-2 on the season following a 71-60 loss at Wabash. The Little Giants improved to 3-3 with the victory.

Wabash scored the game's first nine points, but DePauw used a 9-0 run midway through the first half to knot the score at 18-18.

The Little Giants again scored nine straight to push the lead to 27-18 on the way to a 36-26 halftime lead.

Wabash extended its lead to as many as 14 before the Tigers closed to within five at 61-56 on Ryan Werntz's three-pointer with 5:35 left.

The Tigers were held scoreless for the next 3:47, while the Little Giants scored six to push the margin to 10.

Mike Moore (pictured) led the Tigers with 20 points and four assists, while Stephen Schott added 13 and Brian Oilar scored 10. Oilar and Tom Callen each grabbed six rebounds.

Andrew Zimmer led Wabash with 16 with Chase Haltom following with 14. Wesley Smith posted a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds and Earl Rooks finished with 10 points.

The Tigers shot just 39.7 percent from the floor and hit 7-of-27 three-pointers, while Wabash connected on 46.6 percent and hit 6-of-13 from three-point range. Wabash had a 39-33 edge on the boards.

DePauw returns to action on Monday, December 17, when it travels to Rose-Hulman for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
