November 3, 2007, Sewanee, Tenn. - The third-seeded Tigers advanced to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship game following a 1-0 victory over second-seed Centre in today's second semifial.
The 11-8 Tigers face fourth-seed Sewanee in Sunday's 1:30 p.m. title game. Sewanee knocked off top-seeded Rhodes in the other semifinal game by a 1-0 score. Centre dropped to 12-4 with the loss.
Beth Seegers scored the eventual game-winning goal at 51:50 as the Tigers outshot Centre 13-4 and each team had five penalty corners.
DePauw's Liz Attewell had one save in earning the shutout, while Centre's Ann Guagliardo totaled five.
